Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson To Headline 2017 Johnny Cash Heritage Festival
Rosanne Cash revealed details for the first Johnny Cash Heritage Festival to be held Oct. 19-21, 2017, in Dyess, Ark. A symposium, focusing on arts and artistry from the New Deal, will take place October 19th and 20th. The music portion of the festival will be held on Saturday, October 21st.
The music on October 21st will feature Osceola native Buddy Jewel at 12:15 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., Tommy and Joanne Cash will perform. At 3 p.m., Rosanne Cash and Kris Kristofferson will perform a two-hour concert. A hydraulic stage for the concert will be placed in a field next to the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home. Proceeds from the festival will be used to start the second phase of the project, which will be to re-create the farmstead buildings at the Cash Boyhood Home.
